Surviving COVID-19 Mental Health Services

COVID-19 has impacted the lives of many people in our community, some directly and others indirectly. Issues such as coping with persistent medical symptoms after a COVID-19 diagnosis, dealing with grief related to loss, whether it be death of a loved one, job or wage loss, all of these are events can contribute to depression, anxiety, substance abuse and difficulty communicating with people that are close to you in a healthy way. If you are having a hard time with how COVID-19 has changed your life, Floyd’s Circle of Care is available to support you through our mental health services.

Men Of Purpose Mentoring Program:

The goal of this program is to instill basic life principles for young men ages 12-18 years of age and to assist them in becoming successful and productive members of our community.

This program is designed to offer support, leadership and access to positive role models in the community. Topics such as the importance of caring for their physical and mental health, preparing for their future financially and how to deal with peer pressure and bullying are just some of the areas that will be addressed in our mentor program.

New Beginnings Ex-Offender Program:

This program is designed to provide support and resources to those people who are being released from prison and wish to become productive members of their community. Referrals to medical doctors, mental health professionals, peer supports, community supports and governmental assistance where possible will be provided. Services also include assistance with developing and meeting educational, vocational, spiritual and other personal goals.
